Puerto Chincui hosts the Chacao Bridge Consortium platform

For 35 days, the Odin platform, tasked with extracting seafloor samples to carry out the design study and physical works for the megabridge over the Chacao Canal, was stationed at Puerto Chincui, the new international port.

The structure, built in the Netherlands, arrived at the Maritime Terminal on December 5th and departed for the Chacao Canal on Saturday, January 10th.

Odin’s accommodation at the new international port was one of the services contracted to OXXEAN by Consorcio Puente Chacao S.A., the organization awarded the contract to build the bridge that will connect the province of Chiloé with mainland Chile. Trabajos Marítimos OXXEAN was also responsible for developing the platform’s positioning in the Chacao Canal.
