At the private port of Chincui, owned by the OXXEAN company, President Sebastián Piñera launched the new development plan for the Los Lagos Region during his visit to Puerto Montt.
The president unveiled the main public investments for this part of the country. Several of them focused on the southern coastline, and he did so right in front of the docks of a local company that has also made plans for Chile’s three southernmost regions.
On this occasion, the company’s founders were able to discuss with the President of the Republic their current projects and their vision for regional development. He also informed him that our company has its sights set not only on Puerto Montt, but also on a greater presence in the Aysén and Magallanes regions, consolidating this company’s relationship with the maritime sector of southern Chile. The President was informed about investments that include a new logistics yard in the capital of the Los Lagos Region, along with new facilities for bulk cargo shipments through Puerto Chincui and the incorporation of modern technologies for the company’s vessels, which have been serving the aquaculture industry in the area practically since its inception.
In this way, OXXEAN companies will continue to grow alongside their employees and with the commitment to contribute to the maritime port development of Chile’s southern regions, which have one of the productive sectors with the greatest potential for the future.
